I'll never forget the night I gave Tommy's girlfriend a fast run home to Sandwick from the Interclub Regatta, in the Sandwick guardboat. 40hp at full throttle, and she loved it.<br /><br />Tommy was one of life's genuine gentlemen. Several times Tommy helped me with a odd bit of research, a man always willing to impart what he knew to those who did not know.<br />He and my Dad would have their differences but would always revel in what they found in the back rooms, the greatest of which I think was the time capsule at the Garrison.
